The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has a need for Pilot Astronaut Candidates and Mission Specialist Astronaut Candidates to support the Space Shuttle program. NASA is accepting applications on a continuous basis and plans to select Astronaut Candidates every two years, if needed.

Persons from both the civilian sector and the military services will be considered.

All positions are located at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston TX, and will involve a 1-year training and evaluation program.
